Crispy Onion Pakodas Recipe | Easy Tea-Time Snack Ingredients • 3 onions, thinly sliced • 2½ tablespoons gram flour (besan) • 1½ tablespoons rice flour • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder • 1 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds) • 1 tablespoon salt (adjust to taste) • 1 green chilli, finely chopped • Fresh coriander, finely chopped • Oil for deep frying Method 1. Thinly slice the 3 onions and place them in a mixing bowl. 2. Add the salt and mix well. 3. Add the finely chopped green chilli and fresh coriander. 4. Add the ajwain and turmeric powder. 5. Add the rice flour and gram flour (besan). 6. Mix everything together until the onions are evenly coated. If needed, add a few drops of water to help bind the mixture. 7. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. 8. Drop small portions of the mixture into the hot oil. 9. Deep fry until the pakodas are golden brown and crispy. 10. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serving Suggestion Serve hot and crispy onion pakodas with tomato sauce, mint chutney, or your favourite dip.
