27. Orgasm Deep Dive: Why Getting There Isn't Always Easy Part 2
So you’ve climbed the mountain… but something still isn’t quite right. Maybe it takes forever to get there, maybe the fireworks are more like a sparkler, or maybe your brain suddenly decides it’s time to think about laundry. This episode of Labia Logic is part 2 of our Orgasm Deep Dive with guest expert Dr. Irwin Goldstein. Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure continue to explain why orgasm isn’t always straightforward, and why the answer is often way more complicated than “just relax.” During part 2, you’ll learn why delayed or muted orgasms are especially common during perimenopause and menopause, how hormones like estrogen and testosterone can influence sensitivity and pleasure, and why some people may need to treat pain, nerve sensitivity, or brain chemistry before things improve. It’s nerdy. It’s science-heavy. And yes, it includes discussions about espresso, dopamine, and why orgasm might be one of the most fascinating full-body processes we have.
