Peaceful Summer Camping in Norway… Until the Goats Arrived (Norway part 1)
Join me on part 1 of my Norway adventure! I’m hiking in the breathtaking Store Nup mountains, right on the Vestland/Telemark border in southern Norway. This area is part of the Hardangervidda region – wide open mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and even summer snow patches. As a female traveler and beginner in wild camping, I’m learning how to live outdoors while traveling through Norway in Northern Europe. On this hot summer day, I hike rugged trails, set up my tent by a stunning alpine lake, take a refreshing swim, cook a simple outdoor meal, and enjoy a cozy moment with my knitting. Later, a curious pack of goats pays a surprise visit right at my campsite! The next morning, I cook breakfast with a view, then continue my hike to another lake, meeting friendly sheep along the way. This is what outdoor adventure in Norway looks like for beginners in wild camping! 📍 Location: Store Nup mountain area, Vestland/Telemark border, Norway - in the Hardangervidda region 📹 This is Part 1 of 3 – next up: my hike to Trolltunga! If you love hiking, tent camping, and experiencing Europe’s outdoors, stick around - the next episodes are coming soon!
