Why is Yearning Flopping in Every Book Now?

Yearning is one of my favorite things in a romance, and I think it really is the one element that truly defines a love story and makes it truly meaningful. And while it's been such an integral part of storytelling over the past couple of years, where it saw a resurgence in popularity, yearning in storytelling is not always well-written. It even seems like the books who get wrong is growing everyday in comparison to those that get it right. But why is that? This is what I discuss in this video, as I go over the definition of yearning, the current problems in its writing, while also suggesting better methods of writing it.
