Solo Overnighter at Bates Lake, April 2023-Hammock Wild Camp
Apologies for the delay! Unfortunately my work life got in the way of my editing time and I haven't had any time to put this one out. Just in time however because I am headed for a 4 day trip on the morning that this vid will be released. This is a little longer in length than I usually would do for a 2 day trip, but I think it's because I do a lengthy chat for first time campers and cover some things I think may be helpful. Although this was a solo trip, my friend Matt joined me for a couple hours as he had the afternoon off from work. I was hoping to show off his cool boat, but my camera died and I didn't realize it until I got home. Maybe next time I'll feature he and his boat. Supper was fairly simple, a Pountine MRE (yes, poutine) and breakfast was sausage, egg and hashbrown. All were delicious. I did try to fish more than I normally do but alas, no success. If you're here for the fishing, unfortunately you may be disappointed. Hope you enjoy the trip as much as we did. The next one will probably be out in the next couple weeks.
