They live in the Val Fourré apartment blocks, a veritable city within a city, and are among the youths who commit most of the thefts reported in the neighborhood. Their names are Samba (17 years old), Mohammed (17 years old), Jean-Luc (18 years old), Aïcha (19 years old), and Robert (19 years old). They talk about their "misdeeds," their time in prison; for some, they talk about their relationships with their parents, their girlfriends, their boyfriends, and explain why they commit these burglaries. They see their future as "a little job, a little apartment, a little wife... quiet, basically." 🔎 CALL FOR WITNESSES: Do you recognize yourself or loved ones in one of our archives?
