If you grew up hearing that all of this is a flaw, this video shows the other side: many of these labels can hide high abilities (giftedness) that have never been identified. In this video I present 10 signs of giftedness in adults that are often confused with a flaw, what science says about each one, and why, in dual exceptionality (high abilities + ADHD), one condition masks the other: intelligence disguises the disorder, and ADHD hides intellectual brilliance. In Brazil, the School Census identifies less than 0.1% of students as highly gifted, when science expects between 3% and 5%. Millions of people are passing unnoticed through the system. In each instance, I also offer a practical strategy. My thesis: the problem has never been being underwhelming. It has always been being overwhelmed, for a world that prefers the norm.
