American students connect with South African heritage

As South Africa marks 50 years since the Soweto Uprising, we're reminded of the powerful role language has played in shaping identity, resistance and belonging. A group of students from Howard University in the United States are immersing themselves with South African culture by learning isiZulu and exploring the country's rich history and understanding people, heritage and identity.
