500ft Dry Bore Well Revived! Rainwater Harvesting Expands Across Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Today was another milestone in Pakistan’s rainwater harvesting movement. Our first visit was to Radisson Blu Hotel, Mumtaz City, where we discussed the enormous potential of rainwater harvesting with the management. Practical recommendations were shared, and the hotel is expected to begin implementing a rainwater harvesting system soon. Next, we visited Top City Rawalpindi, where the first recharge pit has been successfully completed. Thousands of litres of rainwater have already been directed into a 500-foot-deep bore well, helping recharge groundwater and improve future water availability. Finally, we visited Faizan-e-Madina, G-11 Islamabad, where discussions were held with the administration. Suggestions for installing a rainwater harvesting system were provided, and implementation is expected to begin soon. Every successful recharge pit brings Pakistan one step closer to solving its groundwater crisis.
