Hero Instructor Quadriplegic After Saving Student in Skydiving Accident
Former skydiving instructor David Hartsock shares his story about surviving a skydiving accident gone wrong. In 2009, while doing a tandem jump with a student named Shirley, both of his parachutes malfunctioned. While falling, he made the decision to position himself so when they hit the ground, Shirley would be protected. The fall left him quadriplegic. "That was a win. Because my job was to take care of her," David told Inside Edition Digital's Andrea Swindall.
