Base text for this video: The MacBook Neo isn't Apple's MOST powerful notebook, but… it's the EASIEST to recommend. I say this because it delivers exactly what most people are looking for: Good build quality. Excellent battery life. Fast performance. Portability. And fantastic integration with the Apple ecosystem. DESIGN AND BUILD This is a laptop you put in your backpack and practically forget it's there. For those who travel a lot, work outside the home, or take their laptop to meetings, this makes a huge difference. The build quality also remains excellent. The ALL-aluminum finish conveys exactly that premium feel that Apple knows how to do so well. No gaps. No noise. Nothing looks cheap. In fact, we were able to open the lid with literally one finger without the base lifting up as well… Interestingly, unlike the MacBook Air, which has a mirrored logo and naturally absorbs micro-scratches over time, this one doesn't, which in a way is quite positive. You've already seen it in the details, but it's worth reinforcing here: on the left side we have two USB-C connectors; a 3.5mm headphone jack and audio output, while on the other side we only have another audio output. SCREEN Here's another point that pleased me a lot… This is a display with excellent definition, good color reproduction, and OK brightness. Of course, many people are obsessed with ProMotion, OLED, Mini LED, and higher refresh rates, but for most people, this laptop's screen is excellent, whether for studying, working, watching videos, editing photos, creating presentations, or simply browsing the internet. This is a screen that delivers exactly what you expect: good quality. KEYBOARD, TRACKPAD, and SOUND The keyboard is very comfortable, quiet, and depending on the version, even comes with a Touch ID button for easy and quick unlocking. In short, regardless of your choice, you can spend HOURS writing scripts, replying to messages, and working on it without any discomfort. The trackpad continues to be spectacular BUT a little different. PERFORMANCE But let's talk about what probably matters most: performance. And I'll say it upfront: here's one of the biggest surprises of these 100 days. I honestly haven't found a single common task that makes this notebook seem slow. Everything opens very quickly, from browsers to the Office suite; Canva. Photoshop. Lightroom. CapCut. Final Cut and so on… Everything works extremely smoothly. And the most impressive thing is that this happens while maintaining very well-controlled temperatures. Of course, there are limits. If you work professionally with gigantic 3D projects, heavy video editing, complex animations, or multiple virtual machines, this laptop is not the most suitable. Above it, we have the Air and the Pro. But the fact is that, even with only 8GB of RAM and an iPhone chipset, this is a surprising laptop, except for rendering, which in some cases takes a VERY long time. THE NEGATIVE POINTS But not everything is perfect. After 100 days, some negative points became very clear. The first is the number of ports. Depending on your routine, a hub ends up becoming practically mandatory. The second is the "type" of port. It has USB 3 and USB 2, nothing super fast, often annoying, but it depends on how you intend to work with the product. The third point is the price; here in Brazil, we find it for around R$4,200, and in that price range, there may be other laptops that are better than it.
