How Hilton Creates a ‘Human Experience’ in the Workplace

Lessons from a perennial Best Workplace. Many companies talk about their values, but what separates the Best Workplaces from the rest is what happens when unexpected events and financial realities challenge those values. At Hilton, that challenge became very real in 2020. When the COVID-19 pandemic shut down travel and emptied out hotels (and revenue), the company responded by opening up over 1 million rooms so healthcare workers had a place to sleep between shifts.
