Bar clamps restoration

I got this bar clamps from a friend, and I wanted to restore them and use them because this clamp are really sturdy and I like to revive old tools and put them to work. First I begin to loosen up all the moving pieces and for that I had to remove the rust so I used a propane torch, some WD40 and a hammer. After that I used a wire cup brush on an angle grinder to remove tha rust from the rest of clamp. I made the handle from a piece of pear wood on an "improvised lathe" and shaped with a flap disc on the angle grinder. I finished the handles with bees wax and linseed oil. I made the missing swivel cap from a piece of flat steel, a 10 M nut and a 6M washer and weled them together with MIG welder. I paint the cast iron jaws with red automotive paint so it wont rust. After that I used contact cement to glue some pieces of leather so it wont destroy the surface of the wood when you clamp it. THANKS FOR WATCHING!
