The Mercedes-Benz W114 (and its sister car, the W115), known in Germany as the Strich-Acht, and in Poland as the "transitional" or "puchacz" ("puchacz"), was an E-Class car produced from 1967 to 1976. In 1973, a facelift was carried out, and the new version received the Serie 2 designation. The vehicle was available as a sedan (W114/W115), an extended limousine (V114/V115), and a coupé (C114). The W114 versions were equipped with six-cylinder in-line engines and were sold under the names "230," "250," and "280." The W115, on the other hand, was powered by four- or five-cylinder in-line engines and was sold under the names "200," "220," "230," and "240." The Strich Achter model family replaced the Mercedes-Benz W111 models in early 1968 and was replaced by the W123 at the end of production in 1976. A center console was used for the first time in a Mercedes-Benz car. 1,919,056 W114/W115 models were produced. The W114/W115 was positioned below the S-Class.
