Railfanning between Milwaukee and Watseka, IL, July 14, 1996
On July 19, 1996, my buddy Eric and I spent the day railfanning between Milwaukee and Watseka, IL. We started out with a WC detour ore train between Milwaukee and Sturtevant. We then headed to Illinois on the IC and caught a southbound freight at Ashkum, IL; then Amtrak Ilini at Gilman, and with nothing else around moved over to Watseka and shot a SOO Line and two UP trains crossing the TP&W. Before heading home we went back to Gilman to shoot the southbound City of New Orleans. I hope you enjoy!
