So I discovered that I was an INFJ type 5w4, around the same time I discovered MBTI. Being a 5w4 means I'm predominantly a Type 5 (aka The Thinker/Investigator) with Type 4 inclinations (aka The Individualist/Romantic). Over the years I've also tested as Type 4w5 a few times. It always revolves around the two types. Based on my own priorities, I believe type 5w4 is slightly closer to my core set of values and beliefs. In the video, I give an in-depth explanation on my Type 5 tendency to pursue knowledge in many different fields (such as politics, psychology etc.) and to examine different schools of thought. Type 5 people do not readily accept any doctrine and prefer to think of issues independently. I also explain how as a Type 4 Individualist, I tend to be keenly aware of what sets me apart from other people and to preserve that authenticity. I clarify that you do not have to be an INFP to be Type 4 (though there are many Type 4 INFPs). I've known INTJs, ISFPs and INTPs who are Type 4, among others. Different personality types can share the same enneagram type and express it in their own ways. Type 4s are also known as The Romantic due to their keen interest in literary and artistic pursuits, and their intense emotions. FYI Enneagram 4 is my FAV Enneagram Type of ALL time because of the sublime beauty it brings to the world.
