On my last day in Kaohsiung, I strolled through the Yancheng area, where I encountered Kaohsiung's nostalgic streets. Starting from Yanchengpu Station, I walked through the History Museum, which retains traces of the Japanese colonial era, the beautiful streets along the Love River, and the retro old town beloved by locals. In the second half of the trip, I hopped on the light rail (LRT) to enjoy the unique architecture of the ever-evolving bay area, and then finished my last day in Kaohsiung with a meal and some shopping at the large shopping complex MLD. Finally, I left the airport to head home, but took a surprising route back to Japan.
