A Look at the Wrecked Locomotives on Flats From the Derailment at Alto, GA

Someone was asking if the wrecked locomotives had been moved yet at Alto, GA so I went to look. When I arrived crews were still doing some cleanup on the edge of the tracks, removing brush and debris. Other trucks were bringing in mulch to cover the ground once they're finished. We fly down low and take a look at each of the locomotives up on blocks tied down to the flat cars. Most of the damage it seems is on the other sides. Can't really get a good shot of that side for the trees. But we saw what they looked like a few weeks ago when they were still on the ground. I watched the crews work for a bit hoping a train would come along, but got bored and headed out. As soon as I did a train came, of course, a short stack so no big deal. And that's it for this update. I don't know when they are moving them. They may already be gone. Unfortunately I don't drive up that way much anymore without ATCS. If you can't see what's coming there's no point driving all the way over there. See you in the next one.
