The Rosary The Holy Rosary Jesus says that it is not enough to pray, for prayer must lead us to do – as He did – the will of the Heavenly Father: "I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done" (Mt. 7:21; Jn. 13:15). "Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that we should follow in his steps... and that, dead to sin, we might live for God" (1 Pet. 2:21, 24). As the risen Christ lives for God, so you also, dead to sin, live for God in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6:8-11). Prayer and Hope Guide: By the sign of the Holy Cross, deliver us, God our Lord, from our enemies. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Leader: My Lord Jesus Christ, All: True God and true man, I am sorry with all my heart for having sinned, because I deserved hell and lost heaven, and above all, because I offended You, who are infinite goodness, Whom I love above all things. I firmly resolve, with Your grace, to amend my life and avoid occasions of sin, to confess my sins and do penance. I trust that You will forgive me through Your infinite mercy. Amen.
