Hiking Golden Ears Summit: Everything You Need To Know
*Golden Ears Peak Adventure | Epic Hike with Stunning 360° Views* Hey everyone! Today, I’m taking you on an incredible journey to the summit of Golden Ears Peak, one of the most challenging yet rewarding hikes in Golden Ears Provincial Park, BC. This 23-kilometer round-trip hike is not for the faint-hearted, with a hefty 1700-meter elevation gain and some steep scrambles along the way. We kicked off early from the West Canyon parking lot, making our way through scenic trails, crossing wooden bridges, and tackling rocky, root-filled sections. After about 4 hours and 40 minutes, we reached Panorama Ridge campsite, where we rested up before the final summit push. The campsite was buzzing with fellow hikers—perfect for meeting new friends! The last stretch to the summit took some serious effort with bushwhacking, scrambling, and rope sections, but the reward at the top? Simply unreal. From breathtaking views of Pitt Lake to spotting Mount Baker in the distance, the 360-degree panorama was out of this world. After soaking in the sunset, we made our way back down to camp, capping off an epic day in the mountains. If you’re thinking about tackling Golden Ears, be ready for a full day of adventure! And if you enjoyed the video, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more hiking and adventure content! *Water Supplies:* Before reaching Alder Flat, there are plenty of streams where you can refill your water supply. However, beyond Alder Flat, there are no water sources, and the hike becomes very steep and challenging. Once you reach the Panorama Campsite, you will find another glacier-fed stream where you can refill your water before continuing to the summit.
