Pulido de aluminio con kit para taladro Wolfcraft

Link to the sanding block:    • Util para eliminar ralladuras en el aluminio   Today is one of those recording days where everything goes well... The sandpaper invention from the previous video worked better than expected, and the motorcycle polishing kit has been very satisfactory... One day I read some graffiti on the subway that said... Dare to do it, and if you're scared... do it scared. The idea is simple: it's about removing scratches, grooves, and nicks from the aluminum before polishing it, and for that, we're going to rough it out with sandpaper. In the previous video, we made a wooden tool for this purpose, which has performed exceptionally well; the padding has been key to its success. At the end of the video and in the description, I've included a link to the video showing how we made it. We started with 80-grit sandpaper, which is incredibly harsh, but if we want to remove aluminum, that's what we have to do. We decided to only remove material below four-tenths of a millimeter, which is why there are two grooves that will remain. We gradually increased the grit from 80 to 120, 240, 400, and 800, but I have the impression that a pass with 1200 grit would have been useful, and from there, we moved on to the polishing kit. Don't do this if you don't have access to progressively finer sandpaper to gradually reduce the scratches. But I'm telling you, this gadget is a bit of an invention... although the first time you use it, do it on something just to practice, just in case... Don't use it on anything worthwhile. It's always good to learn a new technique on something that's useless. Once it's well sanded, we're going to polish and buff it. As we mentioned, we'll use the #Wolfcraft polishing kit, which has two advantages: first, it's specifically designed for use with a drill, and second, it's quite affordable and complete, coming with everything you need. This kit is specifically designed for motorcycles. It comes with two discs. We'll start with the wire wheel and coarse compound. We apply the compound and start polishing. The cordless drill is the least suitable, but the other one is heavier, and besides, ideally, you'd immobilize the drill with a suitable stand and polish the piece, but today we were feeling lazy... Now we move on to buffing, and for this, we use the second disc, which is double-sided. It's glorious to see how it polishes. In conclusion, this first experience has been very good, but it takes some practice. The kit has impressed me. Regarding removing scratches with sandpaper, absolutely. You can get the Wolfcraft kit specifically for motorcycles for €11.80 at Marcavel. I've included a link in the video description. Today has been a good day.
