Dimarzio Bridge Pickups: Tone Zone and AT 1 comparison (Ibanez RG3120, Mesa Roadster and Mark V)

0:05 - Tone Zone, Rectifier 0:47 - AT-1, Rectifier 1:28 - Tone Zone, Mark V 2:08 - AT-1, Mark V Quick comparison of two Dimarzio humbuckers that theoretically should be pretty similar but aren't really; the Dimarzio Tone Zone, and AT-1 Andy Timmons signature model. I was going to just compare them through my Roadster, but decided to reamp through my Mark V as well since in practice that's the amp I mostly use for lead tones, so it's also an interesting comparison of those two amps with similar-sounding settings. Recto settings: Ch 3 Vintage, Bold, Master 1 oclock, presence 9, bass 8:45, mids 1, treble 1, gain 1, output 9:30 Mark settings: Ch3 Mark IV mode, Variac power, triode, gain 2 o'clock, mastrer 2, presence 8:45, treble 1:30, mid 10, bass 11. This was recorded with a SM57 and MD421 on the cab, 421 about 6db behind the 57, through a BAE 1073MP #dimarzio #tonezone #AT-1 #andytimmons #paulgilbert #mesaengineering #markV #rectifier #roadster #instrumentalrock #homerecording #pickupcomparison #joesatriani #guitar #guitarsolo #shred #ibanez #ibanezRG #rg3120 #shredguitar
