In front of the monastery, by the sea, is the house of the Greek poet Angelos Sikelianos.It's a very cute blue and white house. He lived in this house between 1933 and 1950. There is also a statue of him close to the house. The house is now a museum with the poet's personal items, furniture, letters etc. If you come to Faneromeni in Salamina both the monastery and the house of poet Angelos Sikelianos is worth visiting.
