In early March 2024, while it was still a bit chilly, I took a Sumida River cruise from Odaiba to Asakusa on Tokyo Cruise's futuristic water bus, "Emeraldas." Passing under 14 bridges (+4 extra bridges) over the Sumida River and the iconic Rainbow Bridge, I captured unique footage of the sides and undersides of these historic structures from the boat. This video shows the scenic journey of passing under the bridges, starting from the Tsukiji Ohashi Bridge at the lowermost stream of the Sumida River all the way to the final stop, Azumabashi Bridge in Asakusa. I have a deep passion for exploring vintage infrastructure and civil engineering heritages, mainly focusing on Eastern Japan.
