Gyaku Hanmi Katate-tori Dai Sankyo

Dai Sankyo is one of the most well-known techniques in Aikido. Interestingly, one of the oldest images in Pancration, a Greek martial art, is a statue of a fighter applying Sankyo to his opponent. In this video, I explore this waza with the Yokomen Uchi attack. There are countless ways to apply it; here I demonstrate what I consider to be the basic form and some possible variations that I use in my practice.
