The AltaMontanha Team returns to the #HistoriasDeMontanha section, once again featuring Geographer and Mountaineer Pedro Hauck. The HUASCARÁN series reaches its FINAL END, with the opening of a LAST WINDOW and the hope of reaching the Summit. Again direct from Huaraz, Peru. The base city for climbing the Cordillera Blanca! And it is in the Cordillera Blanca itself that we can find HUASCARÁN, the HIGHEST mountain in Peru and the SIXTH highest in the Andes. Known as the mountain of DEATH, over time HUASCARÁN became less frequented, why? Yes, global CLIMATE CHANGE. With increasingly vertical and dangerous sections, the mountain can offer ice or rock FALLS, a reason that has already led to people's DEATHS. There are sections of HUASCARÁN that even resemble the famous Khumbu Glacier on Mount Everest, not to mention one of the most difficult points on the mountain, the "HUASCARÁN Gorge". Good video!
