The Ted Coningsby Squadron were on day off and headed out to the Old Buckenham Airshow for a little chill time...well, day means a camera in hand for Nikos. After a successful 2023 airshow, the Old Buckenham Airshow 2024 set out to make it even better. From a Tiger Moth to an Bf 108 & Bf 109, to RAF Marham's F-35B to 29 Squadron's Typhoon display. A favourite sight and sound at any airshow is the B-17 Flying Fortress 'Sally B'. She is the only B-17 you can see flying anywhere outside of the US and has been fulfilling a vital mission commemorating those who died serving in the 8th Air Force during WWII. She's done so for the last 44 years thanks to a superhuman effort. She represents the 79,000 airmen who made the ultimate sacrifice. The IWM Duxford is the home of Sally B but is not part of the museum's collection. She is kept running by funding from the public. The Titans display team are a thrilling two-ship aerobatic team that mesmerises audiences with precision flying and daring manoeuvres. Comprising highly skilled pilots and state-of-the-art aircraft, we bring the exhilarating world of aerobatics to airshows, exhibitions, and special events worldwide. They also have two different aircraft, the XtremeAir XA42 and a Yakolev YAK-50.
