On 10th June 2026, Wings Air launched a new service from Pekanbaru to Malacca, connecting the capital city of the Indonesian province of Riau to one of Malaysia's most historic and culturally rich cities. Join me as I head airside to take you through the inaugural flight event at Malacca Airport! The route launch is part of the State Government’s efforts to strengthen Melaka’s air transportation system, increasing the presence of tourists and investors from both within and outside the country. This connection provides easier access to the large numbers of Indonesians seeking private medical treatments in Malacca, boosting the state's healthcare tourism sector.
