Airside Tour at Kuala Lumpur International Airport with Malaysia Airports!

Join me on an airside tour at Malaysia's largest international airport, KLIA! "Wake The Planespotters Up When September Ends" is an aviation photography airside tour organised by Malaysia Airports, first taking place back in 2020, with aviation enthusiasts across Malaysia participating in airside tours at KLIA, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Selected members of the airport's media community 'MY Elites' and representatives of local media were invited to attend this year's edition, while I brought some friends along from flying school. We braved less-than-ideal weather conditions as we explored the airside area from ground level, stopping at various points of interest along the way. I did my best to showcase the experience, covering the departures at Runway 32R, operations in progress at the cargo and maintenance aprons, low-flying aircraft at the approach lights to Runway 32L, and plenty of unique airside perspectives that you wouldn't normally get to see. We finished up with a visit to the Airport Fire Rescue Service Station for a close-up look and demonstration of the equipment that keeps our airports safe!
