The serious water crisis affecting Piedmont continues to be a cause for concern. In the first ten days of July, the Po River flow recorded a 75% deficit compared to the historical average at Isola Sant'Antonio. The average monthly flow is 62 m³/s. This was announced by ARPA Piemonte, emphasizing that during the same period, most of the hydrometric sections considered showed deficits exceeding 40% compared to the historical average. The agency describes an "overall deficit" water situation. On Monday, a roundtable on the emergency was held in Turin by the Piedmont Region, which also included representatives of the National Association of Consortia for the Management and Protection of Land and Irrigation Waters (ANBI). Even in the Piedmont capital, the Po River presents a bleak picture, with veritable islands in front of the Murazzi and a significant proliferation of algae along its course.
