My adventure began with a gondola ride through the breathtaking autumn landscapes to Spielboden, where I hiked near the glacier. Unfortunately, the famously friendly marmots were already hibernating. Back in town, I strolled through the charming, car-free Saas-Fee village where, just like in Zermatt, only small electric vehicles are permitted. The village was quiet in October—this is the shoulder season.
