Mysterious Sharp Top

I really want Sharp Top Mountain to be mysterious, because it looks mysterious! Actually, how it looks depends on your vantage point. Regardless, Sharp Top is awesome! Hiking Sharp Top Mountain is amazing, and the top is almost spooky. But in the final analysis (JFK moment) it’s not so mysterious. Sharp Top Mountain history is rich, but it doesn’t seem to be hiding any secrets. And that’s probably because it’s been a tourist destination for a very long time. We’ve made a few videos at Peaks of Otter, and the Peaks of Otter Lodge. The Peaks of Otter include, Sharp Top Mountain, Flat Top Mountain, and Harkening Hill. The Peaks of Otter Lodge and Abbott Lake is nestled between these mountains. (It’s worth some Google Earth Time) This section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia is beautiful, and it’s a perfect Virginia Mountain Drive. The Peaks of Otter are in Bedford County Virginia, a wonderful scenic location for a mountain view experience. Most of the video was recorded in September (2021).
