Lateral push exercises: 1st: While skating, push laterally, lift your foot to return to the starting position, 3 sets of 45 seconds. 2nd: Push laterally, stop and tap with the tip of your foot, 3 sets of 1 minute (alternating sides). 3rd: Push laterally to the side, lift your foot, tap with the tip behind you and return to the starting position, 3 sets of 45 seconds (alternating sides). 4th: Push laterally to the side, move your foot behind you but without touching the ground, 3 sets of 30 seconds (alternating sides).
