The front suspension had been knocking for a couple of months, so I took it to the garage, where I discovered play in the left ball joint (for a more accurate diagnosis, I wiggled the left wheel in different planes. A knocking sound was heard when wiggling vertically, and the play in the ball joint was even visible!); when checking the right joint, no noticeable play was found. To replace worn parts, I purchased left and right reinforced "CS20" mounts for 827 and 777 rubles, respectively. Part numbers for the left mount are 8450006742 and the right mount are 8450006741. Each mount is individually packaged, painted black, and appears well-made (the pin rods are galvanized, 19-mm nuts are included with the steering knuckle, and the rubber boots are secured with metal clamps to the mount housing and rods. However, the six M8 bolts for attaching the mounts to the control arms are not included). I tried to bend the pin in the mount housing, but I didn't have enough force (the mounts are truly reinforced!). The mounts fit securely into place; I installed them on the control arms with plenty of grease to prevent corrosion. I drilled out the old mounts using the method described earlier. I also replaced the M6 ​​steel bolts holding the front ABS sensors with brass ones to protect them from rust, although I had to shorten the threaded portion to about 10 mm. After driving around town, the front suspension no longer clunked! The mileage on the old ball joints was 21,694 kilometers.
