In July, the purchase of electrical equipment and 40 trains in partnership with the Government of Mato Grosso was formalized. The VLT will have approximately 40 km of extension, with 42 stops. • Section 1: Ilha de São João – Calçada: 16.66 km; 19 stops between Ilha de São João and Calçada + Calçada Station - Calçada - Comércio Extension with 3.58 km of single permanent track. • Section 2: Paripe – Águas Claras: 9.20 km; 8 stops between Paripe and Águas Claras • Section 3: Águas Claras – Piatã: 10.52 km. 9 stops between Águas Claras and Piatã The Light Rail Transit (VLT) will be physically and operationally integrated with other city transportation systems, including the Salvador and Lauro de Freitas Metro System (SMSL), at two points: Águas Claras and Bairro da Paz.
