今集我請咗周柏豪，同佢由07年出道傾到𠵱家，氣氛輕鬆又真實。佢話入行廿年唔係一帆風順，經歷過好多高高低低， reboot 過好多次。 唱歌方面，鼻敏感令佢得半個鼻窿透到氣，每日朝早打一萬個黑鼽，上台前要噴藥，但噴得多又唔健康。加上無正式學過聲樂，一路靠摸索同碰壁，試過上台前驚到震，覺得自己唱得唔夠好，連自己都唔收貨。 疫情期間所有表演工作停晒，身為歌手冇show開、冇節目做，戴口罩拍嘢，個個保持距離。嗰段日子唔開心，但正正因為咁，令佢決心衝去另一個市場搵前所未有嘅機會。佢話低處其實係好大嘅動力。 佢唔覺得自己係明星，以前嘅明星要見唔到、搵唔到先珍貴，但𠵱家係流量年代，主動話俾人聽自己做緊咩先係常規。兩樣嘢冇高低之分，只係時代唔同咗。 高位係佢最忙嗰陣，但若果問佢𠵱家好啲定以前好啲，佢直認𠵱家俾到屋企人嘅生活質素遠遠好過以前。經濟能力係一回事，但幸福感同滿足感同錢完全唔掛鉤。 講起屋企人，佢語氣溫柔晒。太太Stephanie係智慧擔當，好冷靜、好多角度去解決問題；佢自己係衝動型，死衝爛衝到損晒都要達成目的。二人相識二十周年，太太由頭到尾都俾到好大安全感佢。 點解從來冇諗過離開而家公司？當年有公司嘅合約唔准拎返屋企睇，要即刻簽，佢覺得成世事業點解公司私隱重要過自己前途？反而而家公司由17歲傾約開始已經好尊重佢，同老闆Stephen合作好舒服。 最後佢分享一個秘密夢想：雖然有畏高，但十年前試過孭住教練跳降傘，𠵱家想一個人由飛機跳落嚟，唔靠任何人，自己喺天空望住個世界。如果做到，佢會好proud of自己，覺得個世界會大好多。 In this episode, I've got Pakho Chau with me. We had a relaxed, honest chat from his 2007 debut to now. He says his 20 year career has been full of ups and downs, and he's rebooted many times. Singing-wise, nasal allergies left him with only half a nostril to breathe through. He'd sneeze non-stop every morning, needs spray before shows, and never formally learned vocal technique, just trial and error. He's been so nervous before performing that he'd shake, feeling even he wouldn't accept his own singing. When the pandemic shut down all his performances, it was a low point. But that very period pushed him to chase opportunities in another market. Hitting rock bottom can be a huge motivator. He doesn't see himself as a star. Back then, stars were hard to find, that made them fascinating. Now it's the age of clicks, you tell people what you're doing. Neither is better, times have just changed. His peak was when he was busiest, but the quality of life he gives his family now is way better. Financial ability is one thing, but happiness has nothing to do with money. His tone softens when he talks about his wife Stephanie. She's the calm, strategic "brains" while he's impulsive and charges ahead. They've known each other 20 years, got together in 2006 before he debuted. She's given him security from start to finish. Why never leave his company? Some companies wanted him to sign contracts immediately without taking them home. He thought, "This is my career, why is your privacy above my future?" His current company respected him as a 17-year-old kid. Working with his boss Stephen is very comfortable. His secret dream: He's afraid of heights, but ten years ago he skydived strapped to an instructor. Now he wants to jump alone, looking down at the world from the sky. If he pulls it off, he'd be really proud. From fear to that kind of courage, his world would feel so much bigger.
