GWR Large Prairie No. 4150 | Loaded Test Runs | Severn Valley Railway | June 2026 Join us at the Severn Valley Railway as we follow the newly restored Great Western Railway Large Prairie No. 4150 during two loaded test runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster Town. After decades of dedicated restoration work, 4150 has steamed for the very first time in preservation, becoming the 154th locomotive rescued from Woodham Brothers’ Barry Scrapyard to return to working order. It is also the final unrestored ex-Barry locomotive based at the Severn Valley Railway to be completed. In this video, we capture 4150 working hard on its loaded test trains as the locomotive continues its important running-in programme ahead of entering traffic. These successful test runs mark another significant step towards its anticipated public debut at the 2026 Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala.
