Comparing your home made SW radio (say 2-12 MC with AM detect) to a factory made radio (VLOG only)

Please read the description/textbox first. Only a VLOG, a free video, where I compare during the video one (only one) of my very elementary Superhet radio’s that I publised in the past since say 5 or 10 years ago. In that case with only 1 Ceramic IF filter (in the order of 450-460 KC). Many more and better Superhet. radio circuits are on my YT Channel, go to the “looking glass” (= search option) and look for “Shortwave” or “short wave” or “SW” or “oscillator” or “radio oscillator” or “LW” or “MW” or “long wave” or “short wave” etc. I compared my extremely basic Superhet radio (the 2023 schematic) to the reception results of a factory made SW Superhet radio. That factory radio was a cheap “all purpose type”, made for the broad public, working in the same frequency band on SW. Of course there are questions about this all: stability, SSB/LSB reception (not available with cheap Shortwave Radio’s on the market, Ali or so, though sometimes), the need of an outdoor antenna (be it a loop-one) or otherwise. This is only a VLOG, no schematics showed, only (say) amusement or more, but when you want to elaborate this, below is the link to that simple SW radio that I used again & here & now. Simplicity, but also coming with some distracts. I got a very important comment of one of my YT followers, he told me that he had made this SW radio, with succes by the way. He told me exactly how he made it and the issues that he met, when constructing it. But, very sorry to say, that his comments are no longer visible in the comments section, due to YouTube=Google. Say the very strange way of “you only see the best comments”, according to the Google algorithm….” No explanation of what that means (the Google algorithm) is showed. I hope he will comment again, now, or after 10 june 2026, because his key info was lost. This is what Google does, via YouTube: not free speech and free information gathering and exchange in our say democratic world, via Google, YouTube, etc. They also have the “burden” of paying endless money to endless servers, wordwide, to keep their content going on and with seconds to the public all over the world. When does this business model fail? Keywords (again): ”audio”, “radio”, “amplifier”, “filter”, “Shortwave”, “transistor”, “FET”, “oscillator”, “generator”, “switch”, “schmitt trigger” etc; so the electronic subject you are interested in.
