Welcome to the first video of my Ashtanga Yoga Basics Series:    • Ashtanga Yoga Basics   In this video, I'll guide you through Sun Salutation A step by step. Surya Namaskar is a foundational yoga sequence that builds inner heat (tapas) and help us connect to the light of consciousness within. It is an energising and calming flow, warming the body and focusing the mind, making it ideal to practise in the morning. Throughout the practice, we'll focus on the three key elements of Ashtanga Yoga: ujjayi pranayama, bandhas and drishti (gaze) which require concentration, focus and discipline. Remember to be gentle with yourself, listen to your body and take modifications where necessary. I hope you enjoy!
