3000km to Sleeping Giant | My 2024 solo road trip.
In July 2024 I drove from Toronto to Thunder Bay to hike to the top of The Sleeping Giant, a 3000km round-trip journey, and bucket list hike for me and for many Ontario outdoor adventure lovers. Along the way I hoped to hike and paddle at as many places as I could, crossing off other bucket list hikes like the Fire Tower Trail at Restoule Provincial Park, and the Nokomis Trail at Lake Superior Provincial Park. It was a 10-day solo adventure in my tear-drop trailer, and the furthest I had driven in many years.
