Giulia Centonze is a 23-year-old woman who lives near Reggio Emilia. Following an accident on May 3, 2019, she is currently in a minimally conscious state in a Ferrara facility, having been in a coma and also contracted the coronavirus. Her family and friends have now launched a fundraiser to bring her to Austria, to a specialized facility that has given a glimmer of hope to those who have never stopped supporting her. "She's like a daughter to me," says her sister Serena. "We miss her, and we're asking for help. We'd like to hug Giulia again and see her laugh as much as possible," explains Gaia, one of the friends who is supporting the young woman's family. She's enrolled in psychology and dreams of becoming a criminologist. "We want to give her a better life and give her back everything she's lost in the past year and a half." She also appealed to her favorite singers: "We'd love for them to make a video for her to see. She needs some motivation; we've been told it could be helpful."
