Baustellen in der Stadt Fürth: Ein Überblick mit Oberbürgermeister Thomas Jung

A bus tour with a difference. Traveling across the city of Fürth with various press representatives, Mayor Thomas Jung presented some of the construction sites on site. The contract volume for these projects already amounts to several hundred million euros – and the total for all projects combined is even higher. However, the majority of the costs are not borne by the city. Many subsidies are involved. The primary goal is to create residential space – which, according to the city, is scarce in Fürth as well as in the rest of the metropolitan region. This is what the project aims to alleviate. And even more is planned for the future: In addition to major projects like the Helene-Lange Gymnasium, with costs around 200 million euros and scheduled for completion in the coming years, further residential space is slated to be built next year on Gebhardt Street next to a hotel – making it Fürth's largest new construction site. The construction sites in Fürth – necessary from the city's perspective. Some of the major projects will likely not be completed until the 2030s. Will there be even more?
