Gold Mountain Fire | Driving Through the Smoke Near Ouray, Colorado 🔥🏔️ While traveling near Ouray, Colorado, I captured this dashcam footage as the Gold Mountain Fire unfolded in the San Juan Mountains. The fire quickly grew in steep, rugged terrain north of Ouray, bringing heavy smoke, closures, and evacuations to the area. This video is mostly raw dashcam footage showing the conditions on the road, the smoke filling the valleys, and the incredible scale of a wildfire moving through Colorado’s high country. The San Juan Mountains are an amazing place, but wildfire season can change everything in a matter of hours.
