永守蒼穹書展 師恩 光と風―7月26日まで銀座･セイコーハウスホールで

An exhibition of calligraphy by calligrapher Sokyu Nagamori began on July 16th at the Seiko House Hall in Ginza, Tokyo. Under the theme of "Teacher's Gratitude: Light and Wind," Nagamori's unique world unfolds. A video documenting his creative process is also on display, allowing for a three-dimensional appreciation of his work. The exhibition runs until the 26th. During the exhibition period, gallery talks by Nagamori are scheduled for 2 PM on July 20th, 23rd, and 25th. Graduated from Daito Bunka University and studied under Otei Kaneko and Takayoshi Kaneko. He received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award at the Mainichi Calligraphy Exhibition in 2011, the Nitten Member Award in 2017, the Prime Minister's Award at the Nitten Exhibition in 2020, the Japan Art Academy Award in 2022, exhibited at the Contemporary Calligraphy Twenty Artists Exhibition in 2026, and served as the Executive Committee Chairman for the 77th Mainichi Calligraphy Exhibition. He is currently a Special Member of the Nitten Exhibition, a Director of the Mainichi Calligraphy Association, Vice Chairman of the All Japan Calligraphy Federation, and Chairman of the Sogen Calligraphy Association, among other positions.
