Reforestation in the South-West Mau Forest, Kenya
Through the Initiative for Sustainable Landscapes (ISLA), IDH - The Sustainable Trade Initiative aims to restore and conserve 60,000 hectares of the South West Mau Forest in Kenya by 2030. The Initiative aims to achieve this goal by installing and maintaining a forest buffer with regulated access to the forest for communities and livestock, replanting degraded forest area and creating tree nurseries.
