Understanding Operation of Cold Stream Thrust Reverser Systems | Pivoting Doors | Cascade Reverser
Hi! In this video we look at the thrust reverser systems. On jet engines these systems can be classified as hot stream and cold stream reversers. On modern turbofan engines the cold stream reversers are installed and are used to only deflect the bypass air, or the "cold stream" in the engine. Here we look at what is a thrust reverser and the operation of two types of cold stream reversers: Pivoting Door and the Cascade Reverser. We see the components that are involved and how they ensure reverse thrust. Hope it is useful. Thank you for Watching!! If you liked the video, please Share and Subscribe!
