Italian / Swiss Domodossola - Locarno VIGEZZINA / CENTOVALLINA Railway SSIF 1958

Since 27 November 1923, the Domodossola–Locarno railway line has linked Italy and Switzerland via international train through scenic Vigezzo & Centovalli alpine valleys, west along a 1m gauge single track. Both termini are now underground but this 8mm cine film shows street level approaches, including street running through Locarno, now replaced by tunnels and the pictured town tram is long gone too.
