Romeu Gigante, João Bosco and I decided to do this classic mega long ride in Brasília's mountain biking scene. Romeu and I left at 6 am sharp from the Sobradinho II UPA (Emergency Care Unit) and met João Bosco at the Boa Vista Market. From there we tackled the toughest climbs in the region, considered one of the hardest on my list of extremely difficult trails (ask me for the list if you're interested). The route after Boa Vista is the same as the Córrego do Ouro/Catingueiro route along the DF205, which is now paved up to km 8. At the fork in the road, we went straight to cross the DF/GO border and at km 41 we turned right to begin the climbs of the Estrada Colonial. There – after reaching the summit of the mountain range – we experienced the ups and downs of 12 peaks in 20 km that make your soul detach from your body. There are many climbs, many of them with inclines greater than 20%. It's enough to wear down a biker. The video has that great information standard, always showing where we are on the map, altimetry graphs, time information and kilometers traveled, so it's great for you to understand how our ride was – feeling part of it – in the joy and the suffering.
