🇵🇪 ¡QUE HERMOSA ES CONCEPCIÓN! Tienes que visitarla | Júnin, Perú

The province of Concepción in the department of Junín pleasantly surprised me. Since childhood, I've visited the Mantaro Valley, mainly Huancayo, to see family, but Concepción was never on my radar until 2020 when I went to visit the largest Virgin Mary statue in Peru and the Convent of Santa Rosa de Ocopa. On this occasion, I also visited the district of Mito, where the Huaconada dance is a great tradition and where Wavi Wavi, a natural rock formation, is truly impressive. We ate typical breads, including anise bread, semita, and cusay, among others. We tried caldo de cabeza (head soup) and hominy soup (patasca), as well as traditional dishes like pachamanca and trout. Something that surprised me was the artichoke ceviche at the Hotel Huaychulo; it was delicious. These are just some of the things you'll find in this video. 0:00 Welcome to Concepción. 2:15 Traditional breads and broths for breakfast. 5:56 Plaza de Armas and Main Church of Concepción. 7:55 Exploring Mito and the Huacones dance. 9:34 Central Plaza of Mito. 10:08 Wawi Wawi. 11:25 Lunch at the Santa Rosa de Concepción market. 12:12 Ice Cream Street. 14:14 The largest Virgin Mary statue in Peru. 15:59 Juices and market day in Concepción. 19:10 Santa Rosa de Ocopa. 22:58 The Orconcruz waterfalls and the Ñusta (Inca princess). 23:31 Guinea pigs in Concepción. 25:12 Peruvian Paso horses in Chimpamarca.
