The answer may surprise you. the number one piece of advice that i will give you is read the label. Most herbicides can be applied when the outside air temperatures reach 85 degrees F. In some cases you can spray up until 90 degrees F. Ultimately the answer is on the label of the weed killer your going to use. Other factors to consider are low humidity and condition of the lawn. It is important NOT to spray herbicide or weed killer when the lawn isn't in a healthy state. Most herbicides contain salt. Putting salt on a wound will cause more damage.
